Pure gimmick, but they are really cute and I would buy them based solely on the cuteness. Plus I spend that much for a trip to McDonalds.
Pretty cool since TC is always leaving lids off of markers and they ruin.

but yep, you're right, the marketing to kids is 80% gimmick and i'm trying to be vigilant and not a total sucker...
